Nominate a Project for the 2009 Environmental Initiative Awards
The deadline is soonMarch 2 at 5:00 PM to submit a project for recognition at the
2009 Environmental Initiative Awards celebration that will take place this spring.
Please nominate your favorite partnership-based project that deserves recognition at this popular event. Self-nominations are welcome. Nominations are now being accepted online.
The Environmental Initiative Awards recognizes projects that have produced tangible positive environmental outcomes in Minnesota through the collaborative efforts of partners such as businesses, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. A panel of independent judges will select 15 projects, including 5 award winners in the following categories:
- Energy and Climate Protection
- Environmental Education
- Green Building and Development
- Green Business and Environmental Management
- Natural Resource Protection and Restoration
In addition, one of the projects will be recognized as Partnership of the Year, an award that will be decided that night by the event audience.
