Requested Alterations to P2 Results Data System for the Region 8 Tool
Submitted to PPRC 9/17/07
1. Provide a listing (by name) of all the projects your program has entered that is separate from looking at them by clicking on “Edit measurement data for previous Project” or “Previous Project Report / Highlight”.
2. Include an option for a Project Report to include all the information entered for that project (i.e. title, dates etc. from the first part of the project entry form).
3. Include on the first “Enter Data” page a field for describing the project (this could be included in the project-report page along with the project title, sector and dates so that you could print a page that briefly describes any project as well as reporting its activities and outcomes).
4. Add a field to list the project’s funding source(s) and be able to view projects by funding source. Also include funding source as a “Project Report” output option, as in #3. Add optional fields to indicate the funded project’s begin and end dates and budget total.
5. Be able to click on and view (or copy) a template that includes all the possible measures, without having to go into the add/edit mode for a specific project.
6. Include climate change metrics (e.g., greenhouse gases, CO2 and/or Equivalents) per recommendations of the NPPR Workgroup sub-committee formed to develop a proposal for these.
7. Include sustainability metrics (to be defined).
8. Include the mercury metrics requested by Region 5 in the Region 8 tool.
9. Eliminate the “P2 Program Report” option under “View Results” for users that are not logged in. The system should be friendly to those who are just interested in viewing results but who are not P2 Programs entering data themselves. If this option can’t be eliminated (right now they get an error page), make the text on the error page more friendly to the external viewer. Right now it reads as though they have little business on the site. They should be welcomed to review the public data on the site.
10. Be able to search projects/results by individual or multiple sectors (for the public this would be searching by results; for users it would also be by their projects)
11. increase the duration of user sessions OR prompt users before their session times-out (e.g., “You have been inactive. Would you like to continue”) OR both
12. add additional behavioral measures
a. clients reporting visiting a website as a result of an assistance intervention
b. clients reporting having told others about a service as a result of an assistance intervention
c. clients reporting attending an event as a result of an assistance intervention
d. clients reporting ordering a publication as a result of an assistance intervention
13. Outcome Measures:
a. under Hazardous Materials, add the ability to split out reduced pounds of pollutants in product and reduced pounds of pollutants in process
b. add the ability to capture reported savings for each outcome while overriding automated cost calculators where reported cost savings are available
c. add TOTAL cost savings, as savings information is not always broken out by the categories currently listed in the system (e.g., hazardous, non-hazardous)
14. Reports:
a. report generating feature that allows programs to select which projects to include in an aggregate report
